I know how many of you beginners feel about supplements .Many FAQ are questions such as, “Are they safe?”, “Are they natural?”, “I heard its bad for my liver.. Is that true?” Well rest assured, all your questions will be answered here .
Before going out and actually buying protein, let me start by telling you that majority of protein supplements are not FDA approved .
Why, you may ask ? : Whey Protein, for example . Whey’s supposed to build muscle and speed up recovery time, correct ? Well there has been no adequate study correlating with the claim that Protein Shakes DO in fact “Build Muscle And Speed Up Recovery Time.”
Why is there no significant study ? : Because Whey Protein plays such an intricate role in your Muscular System . Also given the fact that protein is a very abundant source in your diet alone, studies would probably be inaccurate . Last, but certainly not least, It all boils down to money . It would be very expensive for companies to have their products tested by the FDA . It’s very unlikely that there are any harmful ingredients in Whey Protein, but just be sure to purchase your supplements from a very well known and trusted company .

“Protein is bad for your liver and kidneys”
-Protein is only bad for your liver and kidneys if you consume to much of it(Really, too much of anything is bad for you). A lot of people misinterpret the thought that more of something would give you better results . In reality, Your body has a set intake for any nutrient you absorb . Too much protein, and you’ll have traces of protein leaking through your kidney and into urine. Calculate how much protein you have in your diet alone, then calculate how much more you need in supplements . Generally, you should be consuming about 1 G of protein per LB of body weight . However, it can vary all depending on how much physical activities you do daily.
“Powders are better than Dieting/ Vice Versa”
-Protein is made up with many sequences of amino acids . Some protein sources in dieting alone has different absorption rates than powders . Generally, Powders absorb faster. BUT protein in your diet is organic and unprocessed . Which usually means, better quality .
“You need protein powders”
-In reality supplements are only designed to give you what you don’t have already . So if you have a good diet with adequate amounts of nutrients, then theres no need for protein .
